The drive up to the marina was spoilt a little by an accident just north of our turn off from the M6, causing significant queues, but all in all, it was quite quick.
The boat wasn't quite ready when we arrived, but as we needed to unload and shop, by the time we'd finished, so had the engineers.

The last things to put aboard were the flower baskets Barbara had been preparing for some weeks:
Then we were off south down the Shroppie, pausing briefly in Overwater Marina to see if the cafe was open (we've never yet managed to get there when it was) and to wave at the webcam in the hope that Jessica was watching, but apparently it was mealtime so nobody saw us.
As we got to Audlem bottom lock, we found an advert for George's Pork & Poultry. The ginger & spring onion sausages sounded good so we summoned George by phone and he duly arrived to sell us an array of delicious & unusual sausages:

Moving up the locks into Audlem, we found a mooring close to the Bridge Inn:
